Extended Knik Tour
This is for the traveler who wants to see a little more than the average tour offers. We follow the same initial flight path of the Knik Tour but head further up the Knik Glacier. You will see five more glaciers including a "hanging" glacier perched on the edge of a cliff ready to spill over at a moments notice. You will also get to peak over the mountains into Prince William Sound where there is always a chance of seeing whales, seals, and sea lions playing in the deep blue water.
City of Anchorage Tour
45 minute tour*
Many people say that the reason they live in Anchorage is that it is so close to Alaska. Where else on a one hour tour from a states largest city can you find 5,000 foot mountains, five major river systems, two salt water arms, and over 50 lakes? You may see beluga whales, mountain sheep, moose, eagles, and even bears.
Iliamna Lake, Lake Clark National Park Tour
4 hour tour*
A four hour tour that starts with a trip through beautiful Lake Clark pass with over a dozen glaciers, then through amazing Lake Clark National Park, perhaps America’s least visited park. Lake Iliamna is Alaska’s largest lake, larger than the state of Rhode Island, and home to dozens of species of wildlife including fresh water seals. Then follow Captain Cook’s route back to Anchorage, with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other.
Kenai Fjord Tours
3 hour tour*
Just like Scandinavia, Alaska’s fjord country is stunning. Unlike Scandinavia, there are few human inhabitants, but plenty of mountain goats, sheep, moose, puffins, whales, and sea lions. The glaciers stretch to tidewater and often leave icebergs in the fjords. The route home crosses historic Seward and winds through an ancient spruce forest.
Prince William Sound Tour
2 hour tour*
From Merrill field fly along the majestic foothills of the Chugach Range, then east to the spectacular Knik Glacier. The toe of Knik is frequently visited by wildlife including curious moose and bears. Next, soar over Cataract Glacier, followed by a spectacular show of constantly calving icebergs and many dazzling waterfalls near Harriman Fjord. Cruise over the mysterious Pirate Cove Rock on your way to Black Stone Glacier where killer whales and sea otters play in the surrounding waters. Nearing the end of your journey, see Girdwood, home of the world famous Alyeska Ski Resort.
Wildlife Safari Tour
2 hour 30 minute tour*
The best way to see Alaska’s rich fabric, and how its wildlife fits into it, is by air. Moose, bears, mountain sheep, goats, caribou, incredible bird life, including magnificent bald eagles and swans, are abundant on this tour. This 2.5 hour flight takes you through mountains, huge river valleys, tundra and marsh land that has never been touched by humans.
River Glacier Wildlife Tour
1 hour 45 minute tour*
Alaska wildlife is plentiful, yet often difficult to spot. This tour crosses the Yetna River then circles one of the most prominent mountains in the Anchorage area. It gives the traveler an excellent chance of seeing Moose, Black Bear, Brown Bear, and Tundra Swans by following three major river systems and dozens of lakes surrounded by mountains that are so remote that few hunters or photographers ever venture there.
In the last half of the flight you will fly past two glaciers and an active volcano.
The trip shows off the absolute wilderness within an hours flying time of Anchorage and is beautiful. This tour is often flyable when many other locations are blocked by weather. Although there are no guarantees, more often than not, you will see wildlife, sometimes a lot of wildlife.
Two Volcano Tour
2 hour 30 minute tour*
The two most active volcanoes in the Cook Inlet region are Mount Spurr and Mount Redoubt. Mount Spurr has coated Anchorage with volcanic ash this decade, and Mount Redoubt this year. This tour takes you along the western coast of Cook Inlet, over 10 river systems and past dozens of lakes. It takes you to the face of two glaciers and around the southeastern slopes of Mount Spurr.
A half hour further into the flight, we will fly you as close to Mount Redoubt as we legally and safely can, sometimes even circling the mountain. You will see steam and ash clouds; you will see fumaroles sprouting from the sides of the mountain. The impact of ash and rock flows and melting glaciers on the valleys and rivers in the area is stunning. And all the way you have the beauty of Cook Inlet on one side of the airplane and snow capped mountains on the other.
* Note: As with all take flight tours, the actual number of passenger seats is based on passenger weight. The final decision to fly is exclusively that of the pilot. Please understand that they love to show you Alaska, but if the weather or some other factor makes flying unsafe, they will recommend rescheduling or some alternative.
