Certified Flight Instructor Training

Enrollment Requirements
Students enrolling in this course must possess a valid Third Class Medical certificate and a valid Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. The student must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English.
Course Objective
The student will obtain the aeronautical skill and experience necessary to meet the requirements to be issued a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.
Completion Standard
The student will demonstrate through written tests, flight tests and training records that he has the necessary aeronautical skill and experience for the issue of a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. Completion of this Course is a prerequisite for advanced flight instructor training and is sufficient for an occupational entry-level position as a Certified Flight Instructor.

The above training times are the minimum for this course. At the end of this course, the student may require additional instruction to achieve the proficiency level required to meet the minimum standards for the issuance of a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. The Course cost does not include aircraft rental for the check ride.
Training will be accomplished in the aircraft listed above. The Flight Instructor kit contains the basic text and materials for the course. The student may need or desire some additional text or materials.
